Have a cuppa: Let’s talk about coffee

Coffee is happiness in a cup. I love a good coffee – anywhere, anytime. It’s one of the reasons I’m thankful for living in Melbourne – because of its coffee culture. As I sipped a delicious mocha on a sunny Saturday morning, while walking down the beach…I wanted to talk about coffee! ☕️ Here’s 3 reasons why coffee is one of the best things in life. If you’re not in to coffee, perhaps I can interest you in one of my posts on wellness.

3 reasons why coffee is the best

1. Aroma like no other

The aroma of coffee…mmm… there’s nothing quite like it. Whether it’s wafting off the coffee machine at home or from the cafe your passing by, you can’t help but take it in and let out a happy sigh. I’m talking about the smell of freshly ground coffee or espresso pouring out of a coffee machine – not the instant stuff. It is deep, rich and complex. And it seems to go straight to the brain’s pleasure centre.

2. Boost of energy

Coffee is delicious and there’s a type to suit almost anyone – whether it’s an espresso, latte, flat white or something else. In whichever form, coffee gives a quick boost of energy. It’s why for most of us, coffee is a go-to in the mornings or when we need a pick-me-up during the day.

2. Brings people together

Coffee is a way of life for us Melbournians, with a whole culture around it. It’s a big part of how we socialise. Coffee brings people together, whether it’s for a catch-up with friends, networking or business meeting . There’s something about a good cup of coffee that helps people connect and have a conversation. And there’s a myriad of cafes to choose from to fit any type of catch-up.

Coffee pleases all senses. It looks great – specially if you’ve got latte art in your hand. The rich and complex aroma makes you let out a happy sigh. The delicious taste gives you an energy boost. More importantly, a catch-up can’t be done right without coffee.

    1. Glad to hear! Coffee is the best! But yeah it is easy to over indulge. Even I try to squeeze in a herbal tea every now and then 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 thanks for reading and leaving a comment!

    1. Haha I get that. It’s not everyone’s ‘cup of coffee’ 😋 I’m the same with tea – we get along but we aren’t besties😂
Agreed! Coffee catchups are the best. And something I’ve really missed during lockdown😭 Have you been lucky to have coffee dates with friends lately?

      1. You aren’t besties with tea?! Oh gosh that’s a problem 🤦🏾‍♀️
I actually haven’t gone for coffee dates since last year but I do have Zoom and tea moments 😅 it’s waaaaaaay cheaper and has the same effect 😉

      2. Haha I’m not besties with tea but I’m friends with plenty of tea-loving friends! 😋
That’s great! It’s important to stay connected. And true, we’ve unknowingly saved lots of money this year😬😂🤷🏻‍♀️
