Hi everyone, I’m Jan – the face behind Jan On The Blog. Here’s a bit about me.

Who am I?

I’m a working mom by day and a blogger by night. As the proud mom of a cheeky 1-year old boy, my heart is where my family is.

Where am I from?

I’m originally from Sri Lanka – better known as the pearl of the Indian ocean. But Melbourne, in the land down under, is where I now call home.

What’s a perfect day?

A perfect day is when I’m reading or writing, preferably while sipping a mocha. Harry Potter, Hunger Games, The Grisha Trilogy and The Priory of the Orange Tree are some of the books I keep going back to. What do I do?

I work for an Australian telco company, writing content for internal communications and technical documents. I enjoy making the complex simple and using the right words to drive engagement.

Why do I blog?

I believe words have power. And it brings me joy to use my love for writing to spread positivity and share what I know. That’s why I blog. I hope you find Jan On The Blog entertaining as well as thought-provoking. Have a read of the blog and let me know what you think.

      2. I was actually writing the post on my desktop. And turns out the Comments menu on WordPress (within wp-admin) show the email address attached to each comment ☺️
