Merry Christmas everyone! Jan On The Blog (JOTB) wishes you a holiday season filled with love and laughter. In the spirit of Christmas, you are all invited to JOTB’s 12 Days of Christmas Blog Party to celebrate the posts you were proudest of in 2020. There’s also a free giveaway involved! Keep reading to find out what it is.
When’s the party?
As you might have guessed, the blog party will run over the 12 days of Christmas – starting today and ending on the 5th of January 2021.
How to join in the party fun?
- Celebrate: Add a comment with the link to a post you were most proud of in 2020 – could be one of your posts or of another blogger
- Spread the love: Reblog this post to invite your blog friends to the party, because the more the merrier!
- Show your Christmas spirit: Read one or more of the post links in comments and leave a reply to share your thoughts
What’s the free giveaway?
Ever wished you could get feedback on your writing? If you have, this could be your chance to get some free writing feedback from JOTB. As you may know, I work as a content/ communications specialist for one of Australia’s largest Telco companies – so I do know a thing or two about writing that I might be able to share with you.
How do I opt in for the giveaway?
It’s super simple. In your comment with the post link, mention the words “Feedback is a gift”. That way I know if you’re interested in the giveaway. One lucky winner will be chosen randomly.
Come join JOTB’s 12 Days of Christmas Blog Party!
Free giveaway fine print
You need to be a follower of JOTB to be in the running for the giveaway. Comments to enter the giveaway need to made on or before 5th January. The winner will be privately notified through email by 10th January. JOTB will then share feedback on your writing (of the post shared) in an email before the end of January. If you have any questions on the feedback, JOTB can answer them in one follow up email.

To kick-start the party, this is the post I’m proudest of this year: https://janontheblog.com/2020/10/28/9-effective-steps-for-writing-with-impact/.
I’m new to blogging but I’ve always been in love with the art of writing. I was so proud of being able to put down what I’ve learned into writing and share it with others.

I think my favourite post so far is the one I wrote about people invalidating other’s goals. It has helped the most people in my opinion. I hope you like it!

Hello Jan,
What a lovely idea!
I write about health and well-being, in particular about food. I’ve chosen this post because I’m amazed at how food does affect our mood. Thank you. 😀

Hello Bloggers and beyond!
My blog was actually started on a whim (in November 2020). But I am so glad for the joy blogging has brought me! I’ve made a ton of new friends, and learnt a lot! My blog is called ‘Online Days’ because it’s online (like Duh!😂). It’s written by me (a teen) for everyone to read! I talk about self-realizations (believe me, they happen a lot in my life), BOOKS (yup total bookworm here) and lots more ramblings!
This year, the post I was proudest of is titled ‘Not My Problem’ and I’m proud of it because it actually is something I wanted to talk to people about. It’s not that popular but still, I’m very proud of it (did I say that already?). I don’t know if you’ll be able to relate to it. But honestly, this post was me at my most vulnerable and barest moments. It’s about gearing up courage to ask for help and then being refused. You can view it here- https://onlinedays24.wordpress.com/2020/11/22/not-my-problem .
Thank you!
And a very merry holiday season to you!!

Thanks for joining the party! Great to hear that blogging brought you joy this year.
I thought your post called out an important message. It’s so important to be there for someone if they come to you for support – it’s just simple human courtesy. I hope people realise that it is not ok to say ‘not my problem’.

Hello all! I’m Markie (aka the south paw poet). I just heard about this event and thought I would join in the fun. My primary blog is a writing blog, The South Paw Poet. However, I have so many hobbies and interests that I felt compelled to create a second page for them, called The Green Gemini. It mainly contains recipes and paintings I do (with some movie reviews, other crafts ideas, and humor sprinkled in). I’ll share one post from each site, and I look forward to reading through the comments above and checking out everyone’s pages! Thank you for the open invitation, to this event 🙂
